Birthday Wishes

Birthday cards are always nice to get and it's even better when there's a little gift on the inside.  I'm not a big fan of my birthday.  Getting older has been a really hard thing for me.  I have decided in the New Year that I'm not going to worry anymore about my age or the wrinkles I have.  I want to praise God more and thank him everyday for giving me another day of life.

This card I made for my daughters boyfriend.  His birthday is coming up in the next few days.  It's always nice to give a little something to brighten someones day.

I have grown fond of the young fella.  I personally think he and my daughter make a lovely couple if I do say so myself.

Supplies Used:

Paper: Blue (Stampin' Up) not sure of the name, White (Pat Catan's)
Stamps: Birthday Candles (FSJ), Frosty Friends (Hello Bluebird)
Dies: Birthday Candles (FSJ), Gift Card Pop Up (Lawn Fawn), Little Town Hillside Pop Up Add On (Lawn Fawn)
Accessories: Gently Falling Embossing Folder (Stampin' Up), Color Pencils, Black Licorice Ink

Until next time, have a Blessed day!!!!

Lawn Fawn Gift Card Holder

I love Lawn Fawn. I think they have some of the cutest stamps and dies.  When I first saw this die, I knew I had to get it.  When you have older children who are hard to buy for, gift cards are the best gift to give.  If you haven't checked out Nichol Spohr on YouTube, you should really check her channel out.  She is a very talented lady. She is were I got this idea for this gift card I made for my daughter.

Supplies Used:

Dies: Winter Woodland Critters Huggers (Lawn Fawn), Winter Woodland Critters Addons (Lawn Fawn), Stitched Gift Card Pocket (Lawn Fawn)
Cardstock: Bubblegum (FSJ), White (Papertrey Ink), Black Licorice (FSJ), Hazelnut Blend (FSJ)
Accessories: White Gel Pen, Cozy Knit Embossing Folder, Black Licorice Ink Pad,
Stamp: Tiny Tag Sayings (Lawn Fawn)

Until next time, have a blessed day!!!!

I'm Back After a Little Hiatus!!!

I can't believe I haven't posted since November 16th and here it is almost the end of December.  It has been a little crazy here at the Collier household getting ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas.  I feel like the holidays really came and gone so fast this year.  I was a little disappointed because Christmas is my favorite holiday.  I just love the decorating and all the lights.  Just makes our home so much more cozy.

Here are a few pics of my decorating.

I have done a little paper crafting during the holidays but not much.  Look for those posts in a few days.

Until next time, have a blessed day!!

 Cheers 🥂

For today's card, I have created a second New Years Card.  It will also be created at my workshop on Friday.  There was a lot of cutting these pieces out to make this card.  I hope I have a good turnout on Friday.  I'm trying to figure out how to add a second workshop per month.  If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear them.

Now on with the card.  I used a white card base folded at the top. Attached a black piece of cardstock to the front of the card base.   Cut out the Mini Circle Garland Pretty Panels Confetti Cuts and the cheers die from silver glitter Cardstock.  To make the glasses I cut two per glass vellum and one per glass acetate.  I used blue cardstock from Stampin' Up that is retired for the liquid in the glasses. The Happy New Year is stamped using white embossing powder.

Hope you enjoyed visiting my blog today.

Here's a close up of the card.

Until next time, have a blessed day!!

Happy New Year!!!!

Okay, so it isn't really New Years. I did have a request to make this card at our next workshop. My November workshop will be on Friday and it will be our last workshop this year. With that said, this is one of the cards we will be making.
I wasn't sure of the colors at first. I thought it was just a little too dark. Once I stamped it and used black embossing powder, I loved it. Since the wording was black, I decided to make the card base black.

Wondering how I made the beautiful background on this card!!!!!..... I took my Journey Gel Press and took the FSJ reinkers Watermelon Fusion, Beach Ball and Grape Fusion and dropped a few drops of each color sporadically over the gel press. I sprayed a little water on the press and took my Brayer and mixed the colors by rolling over them a few times to spread the colors out on the press. I took an 8 1/2 x 11 White cardstock and transferred the color to the cardstock. Once dried, I took the All Prettied Up Die from Simon Says Stamp and cut out the image. The Happy New Year Wishes stamp set can also be found at Simon Says Stamp. The last step I took on finishing this card, was dropping some Black Licorice Silk on the card. Which I think, puts a really nice touch to the card.
This card was so much fun creating. Mixing all those three colors together and creating your own design. With the Journey Gel Press, you can use an assortment of inks and paints to achieve that different gorgeous look.

Here's a closer up of this beautiful card.

Hope you enjoyed visiting the blog today.  Until next time, have a blessed day!!!!

 Gift Tags

For today's card, I am using the Pure Innocence Holiday Cheer stamp and Holiday Cheer Die from My Favorite Things. You can also pick up these cute stamps from Simon Says Stamp as well. My plan for this adorable stamp set was to make a card but after receiving the Bread Tag Die from Spellbinders/FSJ, I knew I had to make a tag.

I am trying to teach myself to shade when I color my images.  These two aren't by best work but hopefully next time they will look better. With the actual tag, I cut out a layer of white cardstock and then a layer of glitter cardstock from Cricut for the top using the Bread Tag die.

These tags will be one of the projects we will be making at my monthly workshop on Friday.  I think they turned out great.  Can't wait to use these on a gift for that someone special.

Until next time, have a blessed day!!!

Engagement Gift

My daughter needed a gift for a friend who is getting married July 2019.  I had to get my cricut out and start whipping up a little nice surprise for the Bride-to-Be. I have to say that I just love how the mugs and the ornament turned out.  I was such a procrastinator on getting these items made.  Of course I waited until the last minute, a few hours before she actually needed it.

The box is just a paper mache box that we picked up from our local craft store Pat Catan's.  I already had the Christmas paper at home.  My daughter did a very good job on decorating the box.  Sarah (Bride-to-Be) loves Christmas and she wanted to make the box with Christmas paper which I absolutely love.

Below is the top of the box.  I have to say this pad of paper is just to adorable.  I think it was perfect for this project.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my creations today.

Until next time, have a blessed day!!!

Truckin' Home for the Holidays

Who else loves this truck as much as I do?  I just can't get enough use out of it.  These are the designs for a swap and for my workshop this month. I couldn't decide on just one color; therefore, I picked three. I love how the card base matches the truck.

A lot of little pieces to cut and glue but once it's together it's divine.  The snow falling is popped up on dimensionals.  Anyone who knows me, knows I love using dimensionals.  I love giving my cards a little extra pop.  The truck is also popped up as well.

The truck and accessories are by Spellbinders.  It was the October large die of the month.  Not sure if it's still available.  When I searched for it, I couldn't find it.

Supplies

Stamps: Jingle Greetings (Mama Elephant)
Cardstock: Bubble Gum (FSJ), Candy Apple (FSJ), White (Pat Catan's), Pool Play (FSJ), Black Licorice (FSJ) and Limeade Splash (FSJ)
Ink:
Dies:October Die of the Month (Spellbinders)
Accessories: Gently Falling Embossing Folder (Stampin' Up), Dimensionals (Stampin' Up),

New Photography Station

Decided to upgrade my worktable in my studio and thought it was getting to crowded. Once I cleared a few shelves out, I made this photo station next to my window.  Now my photos should be much better (I hope).  Stay tuned, will have more projects coming soon.

Until next time, have a blessed day!!

A Time for Thanksgiving and Some Changes

I'm in a couple of swaps for November and here is one of the swaps completed minus one.  The reason there's one missing is because one of my dogs were being mean.  I decided to take a shower and let the glue that was holding the bow dry.  When I got out of the shower and came into the living room, I noticed Maggie the baby was chewing on something and had it ripped apart.  Well she had my last card for this swap.  I was so upset with her but there was no way she could have gotten that card.  My daughters Dachshund got it and Maggie took it from him is my thinking.  Let's just say don't work on any crafts in the living room ever again.

I will finish up the last one when I get home from work tonight and start on the other set of 10 cards.

Supplies:

Stamps:  Hello Fall and Gather Together
Paper: Chocolate Chip (Stampin' Up retired), Delightful Djon (Stampin' Up retired) and White Coordinations (Pat Catan's)
Ink: Dark Roast, Lemon Drop, Pumpkin Bread and Black Licorice
Accessories: Journey Rectangles, Hello Fall dies, Barn Wall Embossing Folder, Chocolate Ribbon (off brand), dimentionals and Summer Play Sparkles

Halloween Treat Bag

Does anyone decorate for Halloween?  I used too but never do it anymore. It's like it takes so much time and by the time I get everything decorated, it's time to take all of it down.  Well maybe next year I will decorate.

For today's project, I created a treat bag.  I love the little monsters and check out their eyes and
glasses.  A perfect little gift for that special someone on Halloween.

On November 1st, I will share with you what was used to make the bag.

Paper: Fall-o-ween Prints and Whip Cream Cardstock

Merry Everything

My favorite holiday is Christmas.  I love to decorate and make everything so pretty and all the twinkle lights throughout the house.  Getting together with friends and family to celebrate the holidays.  Making handmade gifts weather it's food, crochet treasures or paper crafts. It's just exciting sharing that with the people in our lives.

For today's card, I decided to make a Christmas card using the Merry Everything stamp set in the Holiday Catalog.  I knew I had to have that stamp set when I saw that deer. When FSJ had the FSJ live back a few months ago there's one card I really liked and I decided to make it using different colors.

Here's FSJ's card:
 and here is mine:

I embossed the deer in white embossing powder and used the heat gun to set the powder.  Since there are no dies with this stamp set, I used my Scan N Cut to cut him out.  Base of the card is Cranberry Bliss, Whip cream is popped up on the cranberry bliss using journey foam squares md, I blended the PanPastels on the Whip Cream Cardstock. Cut a strip of Cozy Print Christmas paper and a strip of cranberry bliss and used the die cut from Border Essentials then attached the two strips to the whip cream cs using journey craft glue.  Attached some chocolate ribbon and we have ourselves a Christmas card.

This will be one of the cards my group will be making at the workshop on October the 19th.  If you can't attend any of the workshops and are interested in making these cards, I can have everything cut and ship it to you for a small fee plus shipping and handling.  All you will need to do is paste it all together.  Just let me know if you are interested.

Hope you enjoyed visiting the blog today!!

Until next time, have a blessed day!!!

Scrapbook Layout And FSJ Video

I watched the T3 Tools, Tips & Techniques video by FSJ with Kim Kesti.  She used the Good Life and Mother Nature color palettes in the video.  I used everything that she used in the video except the leaves from the Bloom benefits because I didn't have them.  If I did have them on hand I would have used them.  For the leaves I just used the Die set Hello Fall.  I did rearranged everything and made it a 2 page layout instead of one.

Supplies Used:

Stamps: Life is Beautiful
Paper: Good Life Prints, Chambray Shirt, Oatmeal Cookie, Dark Roast, Corrugated Stock, Pool Play, Whip Cream and Catalina Splash (Maybe)
Ink: Dark Roast and Chambray Shirt
Dies: Summer Branch, Cottage Bloom, Hello Fall, Frame It Die Set (Host Set)
Accessories: Boho Trim, Be Natural Brads, Cottage Pearls, Mini Wooden Clothespins, Nature Buttons, Natural Twine, Dark Roast Silk, Journey Piercing Template, Journey Piercing Mat, Bloom Tool, Corner Rounder and Circle Bliss Stencil

Here's the video to FSJ Tools, Tips & Techniques with Kim Kesti.

Fall Cards and Home Decorating

I wanted to make a set of small cards with matching envelopes and a box to store them in.  I knew the size of the cards but had no idea about the measurements for the box and envelopes.  After working on them all week, I finally have the set finished and ready to show you the end result.

The first picture is top of the box.  Gives you an idea what to expect of the inside.

Inside the Box.

Here's everything that is included in the box.  I am so loving this stamp and die set.

I hope you like this little set of mini cards with matching envelopes and box.  I will be posting measurements soon.  Please let me know what you think of my little creation.

Supplies Used

Stamps: Hello Fall
Paper: Dark Roast, Whip Cream, Pumpkin Bread and Corrugated Stock
Inks: Pumpkin Bread, Lemon Drop, Hazelnut Blend, Orange Creamsicle and Cranberry Bliss
Dies: Hello Fall
Accessories: Natural Twine, Toil & Trouble Buttons

Little Home Updating

Now my next photo is a picture of the wall above my fireplace.  My husband and I have been remodeling the house for about 3 years now.  I got rid of everything that was on my walls because I wanted to update everything.  It's been a long process and still ongoing but I finally found what I was looking for to hang on that wall.  I found them at hobby Lobby. I just love that store. I could spend a fortune in there.  I also collect Rae Dunn as you can see in the picture below.  I did have plants in those pots but my daughters dachshund managed to get on my table and destroy those plants.  I wasn't a very happy person when I got home from work.  I will be making a run back to TJ Maxx to replace those plants soon.

Hope you enjoyed my post today!!!

Until next time, have a blessed day!!!
